We weten dat smaken erg verschillend zijn, maar de Borgward Isabella Coupé wordt in het algemeen toch beschouwd als een van de mooiste auto’s uit de Duitse autogeschiedenis. En daar kunnen we ons helemaal in vinden. Vandaar dat we ook een beetje trots zijn dat we deze stijlvolle coupé in onze collectie mogen aanbieden.

Deze in 1961 geregistreerde Borgward Isabella Coupé TS is een van de later geproduceerde modellen, vlak voordat het Duitse automerk failliet ging. De auto is voorzien van de krachtigere TS motor met 75 pk. Het stijlvolle lijnenspel is bijzonder elegant om te zien en de vele bijzondere details geven deze coupé een uniek karakter. De lange motorkap, de stijlvolle lijn in de achter spatborden, de vorm van de achterlichten en de knipperlichten aan de voorzijde maken deze Borgward Isabella extra bijzonder. Daarbij is de crème kleurige carrosserie een prachtige en stijlvolle kleur voor deze auto. En het vormt een perfecte combinatie met het rood/crème kleurige interieur.

De carrosserie is nog in bijzonder goede conditie. Het is al wat langer geleden dat de auto is gerestaureerd en de auto ziet er nog zeer goed uit. De carrosseriekleur heeft een diepe glans en ook de diverse chroom- en sierdelen zijn nog in bijzonder goede staat. Dit geldt ook voor de diverse rubberdelen en afwerkingen. De carrosseriedelen sluiten goed op elkaar aan en ook de portieren openen en sluiten goed en solide. Het stijlvolle Isabella logo aan de voorzijde is prominent aanwezig en schitterend om te zien.

Het interieur is nog in uitzonderlijk goede staat. De prachtige rood/crème skai-lederen stoelen zijn nog in bijna perfecte conditie en zitten bijzonder comfortabel. Het ivoorkleurige stuurwiel vormt hier een perfecte combinatie bij en is ook nog in goede staat. Ook de interieurbekleding is nog in bijzonder goede conditie. Het dashboard is bijzonder mooi om te zien en de diverse chroom- en sierdelen zijn nog in zeer goede staat. Zelfs de hemelbekleding is nog bijzonder mooi te noemen. Het interieur is prachtig om te zien, zeker ook met de stijlvol afgewerkte rood lederen binnen panelen.

Onder de motorkap zien we een zeer keurig verzorgde motorruimte. Het is duidelijk te zien dat deze auto met zeer veel liefde en zorg is onderhouden. De 1493 cc benzinemotor levert 75 pk (het gaat dus om de krachtigere TS uitvoering) en loopt bijzonder mooi en rustig. Deze Borgward Isabella Coupé rijdt heerlijk comfortabel en soepel. De vier versnellingsbak is volledig gesynchroniseerd en schakelt erg soepel en trefzeker. Ook de remmen voelen stevig en goed aan en dat maakt deze auto tot een heerlijke en comfortabele rijdersauto. Een unieke en schitterende coupé, die indrukwekkend is om te zien en bijzonder heerlijk om mee te rijden!

This Borgward Isabella Coupé TS, registered in 1961, is one of the later models produced, just before the German car manufacturer went bankrupt. The car is equipped with the more powerful 75 hp TS engine. The stylish lines are exceptionally elegant, and the many special details give this coupé a unique character. The long hood, the stylish line in the rear fenders, the shape of the taillights, and the front turn signals make this Borgward Isabella extra special. Furthermore, the cream-colored bodywork is a beautiful and stylish color for this car. It combines perfectly with the red/cream interior.

The bodywork is still in exceptionally good condition. It's been some time since the car was restored, and it still looks very good. The bodywork has a deep shine, and the various chrome and trim pieces are in exceptionally good condition. This also applies to the various rubber parts and finishes. The body panels fit together well, and the doors open and close smoothly and solidly. The stylish Isabella logo on the front is prominently displayed and a beautiful sight.

The interior is still in exceptionally good condition. The beautiful red/cream faux leather seats are still in near-perfect condition and are exceptionally comfortable. The ivory steering wheel complements this perfectly and is also still in good condition. The interior upholstery is also in exceptionally good condition. The dashboard is particularly attractive, and the various chrome and trim pieces are still in excellent condition. Even the headliner is exceptionally beautiful. The interior is beautiful to look at, especially with the stylishly finished red leather interior panels.

Under the hood, we see a very well-maintained engine compartment. It's clear that this car has been meticulously maintained. The 1493cc petrol engine delivers 75 hp (this is the more powerful TS model) and runs exceptionally smoothly and quietly. This Borgward Isabella Coupé drives wonderfully comfortably and smoothly. The four-speed gearbox is fully synchronized and shifts very smoothly and precisely. The brakes also feel firm and responsive, making this a wonderful and comfortable driver. A unique and beautiful coupé, impressive to look at and a joy to drive!
