A very unique 2003 Ducati 999R with only 4813 kilometers on the odometer.
The Limited Edition 999R offered here is also known as the 'unicorn' because it is not numbered but, as the first to be delivered, had the word 'PRESS' stamped on the silver plate. In other words, this was before the stickers were made and the first 999Rs were available for sale. The motorcycle comes from the second owner (purchase invoice available) and was not intended to be sold to a private individual.
The story goes that after a well-known DJ was told that the motorcycle on display was not for sale, the then owner of a Ducati racing team managed to buy the motorcycle on May 20, 2003. The Ducati comes with the extra (new) exhaust plus silencer including extra Eprom (the race kit), the original Ducati 999 'tailor-made' cover, a universal red rear stand, Ducati tool kit, Ducati trickle charger, service booklet and maintenance booklet, three keys, the brochure from that time, and a card code as it was delivered in 2003. Today, 22 years after its first kilometers, it comes directly from a collection and is still completely intact and on the original tires, which are of course no longer suitable for riding.
This is a collector's item with a golden edge. This 999R is the very first example of the first series (with a gray frame). Dutch documents in order and with Dutch registration.
In short, a very exclusive Ducati for the true collector. An opportunity that will not come around again. The price of this motorcycle is on request.
