De begeerde Q-code 351cu(5,8L) Cobra Jet was daarmee een serieus krachtpakket, vooral in combinatie met de optionele C6 automaat, en vormt een van de laatste echte "muscle motors" vóór de emissie- en verzekeringsmaatregelen in de jaren ’70 – en dat merk je aan alles.

Deze 100% originele MACH 1 is enkele jaren geleden compleet gerestaureerd, waarbij de auto geheel in Nederland is gespoten, nieuwe rubbers en chroom meekreeg en verkeert in uitstekende conditie. Het gaat hier dus om echte Q code uitvoering, de sterkste uitvoering voor de 351cu(5.8L) V8, af fabriek 275 pk (205 kW) bij 5400 tpm. Maar door de gemonteerde upgrades gaat het vermogen van deze gemonteerde motor dik over de 300PK.

Recent is er een gloednieuwe Ford Cleveland 351cu V8-4V crate engine geplaatst – specificaties exact gelijk zoals hij in 1972 de fabriek verliet. Krachtig, soepel en betrouwbaar.
