D6 3 Liter

Met gepaste trots bieden wij in onze collectie deze zeer zeldzame en unieke Delage D6 3 litres aan. Het stijlvolle merk Delage was producent van zeer luxe auto’s en racewagens en is opgericht in 1905. Na overname door Delahaye in 1935 werden er tot en met 1953 nog auto’s geproduceerd. Deze Delage D6 uit 1950 is dus een van de laatste modellen van het franse automerk. De modellen van het merk Delage zijn tegenwoordig heel schaars, maar dat geld zeker voor de zeer zeldzame D6 3 litres.

De Delage D6 3 litres was voor die tijd een auto met ongekende luxe. De stijlvolle, op maat gemaakte carrosserie werd gebouwd door Autobineau in Parijs en bevast verschillende prachtige elementen. Het embleem van de carrosseriebouwer is nog altijd op de portieren aanwezig. Een ander prachtig hoogstandje is de elektromagnetische Cotal versnellingsbak die gekoppeld is aan de prachtig klinkende 6-cilinder in lijn motor.

Dankzij verschillende oude documenten is de eigenaren historie voor een deel te achterhalen. De laatste eigenaar heeft de auto sinds 1998 in bezit gehad, terwijl de eigenaar daarvoor deze Delage heeft gekocht bij Atelier Sontrop in Frankrijk in 1986. Verder is er nog een frans kentekenbewijs aanwezig van vermoedelijk de 2e eigenaar.

Deze Delage is al wat langer geleden gerestaureerd en verkeert nu in een bijzonder mooie en authentieke conditie. Zowel het lakwerk als ook het interieur vertonen prachtige patina en het geeft de auto een bijzonder origineel karakter. Het interieur is nog in hele goede conditie, de hemelbekleding is nog volledig origineel. De diverse hout elementen zijn nog in prima staat.De carrosserie is nog in goede staat. Alle portierdelen en motorkap en kofferklep sluiten goed aan. De rubberdelen vertonen op verschillende plaatsen droogtesporen. Het chroomwerk is nog in prima conditie. Het lakwerk is niet perfect, maar wel bijzonder mooi te noemen.

Het schitterend klinkende 6 cilinder motorblok is ongeveer 10 jaar geleden volledig gereviseerd. De motor loopt bijzonder soepel en ook de versnellingsbak schakelt bijzonder mooi en trefzeker. De auto stuurt ook bijzonder fijn en comfortabel. Ook de remmen werken naar behoren en voelen degelijk aan.

Zover we weten is dit momenteel de enige Delage D6 3 litres die in de wereld wordt aangeboden. Het is dus met recht een bijzonder zeldzame klassieker te noemen.

We are proud to offer this very rare and unique Delage D6 3 liters in our collection. The stylish Delage brand was a producer of very luxurious cars and racing cars and was founded in 1905. After being taken over by Delahaye in 1935, cars were still produced up to and including 1953. This Delage D6 from 1950 is therefore one of the last models of the French car brand. The models of the Delage brand are very scarce these days, but that certainly applies to the very rare D6 3 litres.

The Delage D6 3 liters was a car with unprecedented luxury for that time. The stylish, bespoke body was built by Autobineau in Paris and incorporates several beautiful elements. The coachbuilder's emblem is still present on the doors. Another wonderful tour de force is the electromagnetic Cotal gearbox that is linked to the beautiful sounding 6-cylinder in-line engine.

Thanks to various old documents, the owner's history can be traced in part. The last owner has owned the car since 1998, while the owner previously bought this Delage from Atelier Sontrop in France in 1986. There is also a French registration certificate of presumably the 2nd owner.

This Delage was restored some time ago and is now in a particularly beautiful and authentic condition. Both the paintwork and the interior show a beautiful patina and it gives the car a very original character. The interior is still in very good condition, the headliner is still completely original. The various wood elements are still in good condition. The bodywork is still in good condition. All door parts and hood and boot lid close well. The rubber parts show traces of drought in several places. The chrome work is still in good condition. The paintwork is not perfect, but it can be called very beautiful.

The beautiful sounding 6-cylinder engine block was completely overhauled about 10 years ago. The engine runs very smoothly and the gearbox also shifts very nicely and accurately. The car also sends very nice and comfortable. The brakes also work properly and feel solid.

As far as we know this is currently the only Delage D6 3 liters on offer in the world. It can therefore rightly be called a particularly rare classic.
