The 1982 Ferrari 308 GTBi, where "GTBi" stands for "Gran Turismo Berlinetta Iniezione," represents an evolution of Ferrari's iconic mid-engined sports car.
The 308 GTBi was introduced in 1980 as an update to the 308 GTB, which itself was launched in the mid-1970s. The "i" in GTBi denotes fuel injection, distinguishing it from its predecessor, the carbureted 308 GTB.
