Description
Anthracite Metallic, Sovereign, Ivory interior, exactly how you want to see an X308!
Strangely enough, you see very few XJs in black. Strange, because it looks great on the sedan. Especially with an interior in the color Ivory, the contrast is great.
This XJ is indeed a special example. Back in 2019, five years ago, the Sovereign first appeared with us. There was some work to be done, especially optically. The chain tensioner modification had already been carried out, as evidenced by the extremely detailed history of the car. Once completed, the beautiful XJ quickly found its new owner, but never actually disappeared from view. A few months ago the Sovereign came to us again, this time acquired by me from an enthusiast, now with major renovation work in prospect; welding work on footwells, bottom and inner wheel arches. A major, expensive job!
A previous owner followed our work on Instagram and noticed ‘his’ XJ. The purchase was concluded immediately, and the renovation continued in the meantime. He did not enjoy the Jaguar for long, because when he saw a Rolls Royce Ghost, the Jaguar was traded in again, after which it neatly returned to our site. Nice, isn’t it?
All’s well that ends well. Once again I took over the XJ, knowing the enormous amount of work that went into this car; the undercarriage renovation and extensive maintenance are the spearheads of this. This, together with the distribution modification already carried out in the past, makes the Sovereign particularly interesting!
It is a wonderfully driving Jaguar. The 3.2 feels particularly fit, which could be different in other cases. There are no noises, everything functions properly. The headliner has also been renovated in the distant past and is therefore still neatly in place.
The mentioned welding work on the bottom is of course documented with pictures. A complete, detailed maintenance history is available in the form of an extract from the Jaguar dealer system. There are also maintenance invoices from the past five years, including the invoice relating to renovation and maintenance. The amount noted at that last invoice? No less than €8,342.95. Ready for a new enthusiast!
Is there anything worth noting, you ask? Yes, there is always something to find. In this case it concerns some optical matters. There are some small parking dents here and there and you will definitely notice a scratch somewhere, but the appearance of the Sovereign is no less! The relatively low mileage makes it an interesting car to use for both business and private purposes.
The XJ is delivered with a brand new MOT. The key set consists of two keys with two remote controls.
There is still a lot to say about this Jaguar, but you will of course only get a good impression when you view and drive the car. you are very welcome in Oirschot, the coffee is ready.
