Beautiful Mercedes 280 SE (W116), delivered new in France on 22/06/1977 and accompanied by its complete history.

The condition of this 280 SE is remarkable: only the trunk has been repainted, while the rest of the car still wears its original paint (code 404 G Milan Brown). The chassis is sound, with no signs of corrosion whatsoever.


This Mercedes has had three owners:

• First owner: from 22/06/1977 to 30/08/2005
• Second owner: from 30/08/2005 to 28/02/2021
• Third owner: until October 2025

The certified mileage of 181,000 km is documented by its service book, owner’s manual, and technical inspection reports.

It is clear that this car has always been regularly maintained (see maintenance history below).

Over nearly 50 years, our Mercedes has covered an average of 3,800 km per year.
A major service was carried out in 2024 at 178,823 km, including:
engine, gearbox and differential oil changes, filters, spark plugs, valve cover and oil pan gaskets, replacement of four brake discs and pads, gear lever bushing, tires, windshield, radiator repair, new wiring harness, etc.


The interior, also original, is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos.
Among the options, we note the presence of front and rear power windows (code 584), and a rare sunroof.


Powered by the inline six-cylinder engine developing 185 hp, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, this Mercedes 280 SE can cover long distances safely and in absolute comfort.
The six-cylinder engine is also known for its legendary reliability.


Performance remains impressive even today, with a top speed of 195 km/h and 0–100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.
